A United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket successfully launched tonight, January 24th 2014 at 02:33 UTC from Space Launch Complex 41, Cape Canaveral carrying NASA's newest Tracking and Data Relay Satellite - TDRS-L.
TDRS-L will be used to relay communications from spacecraft including the International Space Station back to earth.
This was the first Atlas launch of 2014 and the 43rd overall. This variation of the Atlas V, the 401 configuration, had no strap on boosters.
